The History:
Schneider Senator.

  • 1898
    Formation of company MBS under the name of Karl Ritscher in Hamburg. Manufacturing of machines and vehicles for the agricultural sector.
  • 1944
    Rebuild of the new MBS factory in Sproetze/Buchholz, later on, company take-over by MAN – Roland AG.

  • 1948
    Formation of Schneider Senator sales company in Hamburg. Presentation of the first high-speed cutter with hydraulic clamp and mechanical knife drive, the Senator 78.

  • 1952
    Schneider Senator participates its first trade show, the industrial fair in Hannover.

  • 1954
    Exhibitor at DRUPA in Duesseldorf. The first Senator 132 was produced.

  • 1955
    The "EA 4R" by Schneider Senator is the first programmable industrial guillotine on the market controlled by magnetic tape.

  • 1958
    At DRUPA, Schneider Senator presents the complete range of products with the Senators 106, 132 and 155.
     
 
  • 1967
    The world's first contact-free transistor-controlled guillotine (Senator KL) comes into the market. Transistors and diodes replace relay and switch.

  • 1969
    Guillotines are no longer solo: Introduction of automatic peripheral equipment for high-speed paper cutters.

  • 1970
    The Senator 260 is the first mass produced guillotine in the world with 2,60 m cutting width.

  • 1972
    At the 6. DRUPA complete cutting systems from Schneider Senator are available for the first time. Destacking and restacking functions, as well as transfer tables, are the major attractions.

  • 1977
    Once again Schneider Senator suprises the experts with an innovation: The Senator 115 MC is the first guillotine equipped with micro-processor. The first automatic jogger is also introduced.

  • 1986
    Introduction of MC-control with monitor.

  • 1990
    Data transfer to/from the PC and external programming.

   
 

  • 1992
    Production was taken over by the ultra-modern MBS factory in Buchholz-Sproetze (Nordheide) south of Hamburg.

  • 1993
    First use of ball race lead screw as backgauge drive

  • 1994
    Schneider Senator introduces the TS-Sprintcut.It is a unique system comprised of three guillotines and peripheral equipment for fully-automatic processing of security papers and banknotes.

  • 1995
    At this year's DRUPA Schneider Senator presents the first achievement of the cooperation with the new factory: A fundamentally new design of a high-speed cutter, the S-Line 115 H with direct-hydraulic drive.

  • 1998
    50 years of progress in guillotine manufacturing.

  • 1999
    New guillotine: E-Line 78 and 92.

  • 2002
    Formation of the new company Senator Technology

  • 2004
    The first cutting system for fully-automatic 4-side-trimming "4-cut"

  • 2008
    The most successful drupa in 60 years of Schneider Senator history. "Roboload", newly designed system with a robot for automatic jogger feeding, was introduced at drupa.
